Jatayu Earth's Center
commonly known as Jatayu Nature Park or Jatayu Rock, is a unique tourist attraction located in Chadayamangalam, Kollam district, Kerala, India. It is renowned for housing the world's largest bird sculpture, a colossal representation of Jatayu, a mythical eagle from the Indian epic, the Ramayana.
Highlights:
The giant statue of Jatayu is the main attraction, measuring about 200 feet long, 150 feet wide, and 70 feet tall. It is the largest functional bird.
Jatayu Sculpture:
Sculpture in the world and was designed by the renowned sculptor and filmmaker Rajiv Anchal.
The sculpture is positioned on top of a hill and symbolizes the legendary bird Jatayu, who, according to the Ramayana, tried to rescue Sita from Ravana.
According to Hindu mythology, Jatayu was a divine bird who fought valiantly with Ravana to save Sita. Ravana, the demon king, cut off Jatayu's wings, and the bird fell onto the rocks of Chadayamangalam.
The site where Jatayu is believed to have fallen is considered sacred, adding a spiritual dimension to the location.

Beyond the sculpture, the park is a full-fledged tourism center that promotes eco-friendly tourism. It spans over 65 acres and offers various activities, including adventure sports like rock climbing, rappelling, and zip-lining.

Visitors can reach the top of the hill either by trekking or by taking a scenic cable car ride, which offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
